A recent trip along the Middlewich Branch Canal afforded an opportunity to have a goof look at the River Weaver Aqueduct.
Weaver Aqueduct - North
The descent down a very high and steep embankment was a bit perilous but afforded me a good view of the big central arch, and the two smaller flood relief arches.
Weaver Aqueduct - south
Lickily the water level was down so I walked through the western flood relief arch and capturesshots of both fides of this impressive blue brick construction.
